
Sheree Bykofsky
Sheree Bykofsky is a literary agent, author, travel writer, and professional poker player. She is the author, co-author and editor of more than twenty-five books, including the best-selling The Complete Idiot's Guide to Getting Published, in its fourth edition, The Downtown Girl’s Guide to Wine, and three poker books: Secrets the Pros Won’t Tell You About Winning Hold’Em Poker, The Rules of Poker, and The Portable Poker Pro.
Sheree incorporated Sheree Bykofsky Associates, Inc., literary agency in 1991 in New York City and she places over 100 books each year in all subjects. Among Sheree's clients are the late Albert Ellis, John Carpenter (first millionaire on "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?"), Bill Baker (President of Channel 13, PBS in NYC), Supermodel Roshumba, and Richard Roeper (of Ebert and Roeper). Some of Sheree's poker author clients are Mike Matusow (see his brand new book CHECK-RAISING THE DEVIL), Lou Krieger, David Apostolico, Gary Carson, Warwick Dunnett, Henry Stephenson, Cat Hulbert, J. Phillip Vogel, and the late Andy Glazer. Sheree represented Phil Hellmuth for his first book, Play Poker Like the Pros.
Each year in Cape Cod she teaches doctors how to get their novels published, and she is an adjunct assistant professor of publishing at NYU.
Sheree has won well over 100 poker tournaments, including a World Series of Poker Circuit Ladies' Event in Atlantic City. She is an expert rated tournament Scrabble player, and she won $34,000 on Wheel of Fortune. Sheree's website is
